His eyes Sparkle like stars She giggles and runs away His eyes Smile as he helps her Her daddy says not today His eyes Are kind and loving But she doesn’t see, he’s just a friend His eyes Crackle with anger and envy She takes no notice there are other things to tend His eyes Plead for permission What her daddy is thinking he can only guess His eyes Are scared but full of love Now she sees it gives her the courage to say “Yes”
