Make Someones Day

I know you think that what you say doesn't hurt her, and that nothing could ever cause her to cry. But the truth is that strong girls need hugs too. They want to be told they are beautiful just as much as any other girl. The reason they are strong is because they have to put up with so much more than anyone else. They have had to handle the crap that the world hands them as well as the crap they heap upon themselves. Teenage girls are already overly critical of themselves and the strong ones are just the ones who have been even tougher on themselves for even longer. Sometimes I think that the strong ones need the love of others even more than the "happy" ones, because they think so much less of themselves.

So make someones day, hug the strong girl, smile at her, say hello, tell her she looks pretty that day, all she really needs is to know that someone notices her.
